With my blog I also want you to get to know wines that you might not know yet… Today I present you the very refined and prestigious wine: TRAVAGLINI GATTINARA DOCG!
The grapes of this delicious red wine are cultivated in the hills of the little town called Gattinara (Vercelli – Piemonte). It has the quality assurance DOCG Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (Controlled Designation of Origin Guaranteed). I really like the riserva, which means that this wine has been aged for at least 3 years in oak barrels and 1 year in bottle. It has this deep, dry taste and goes really well with a good risotto.Especially the ones my love makes ;)!! But of course you can drink it with any strong first course or seasoned cheese and obviously with red meat. The best temperature to serve is between 18°C-20°C and I’ve heard that it’s even better if you open the wine a few hours before serving it. But we always forget that….Trust me, it’s good either way!
Well, cheers to you all!
