PUFF PASTRY-WRAPPED SHRIMP

As you have noticed my blog has been offline for almost a week. I have been having major technical problems so unfortunately I couldn’t blog for all this time. The problems are still not over so I’m in the middle of a blog-layout-make over. It will take some time, probably another 2 or 3 weeks, but I’m confident that my new blog will be way better and more beautiful. So please, still a bit of patience and don’t be distracted from the horrible layout as it is now….

I wanted to post this new recipe on a Saturday as I find it the perfect party snack….and when I think of parties, I think of Saturday nights! But due to all the problems my site had and still has…I’m posting it on a Tuesday instead…hey maybe someone is throwing a party tonight, right?
This is a super easy recipe I got from a friend of mine. It is so good and so simple, I needed to make it myself. I adjusted it a bit, but here it is…. Puff Pastry-Wrapped Shrimps! Yummy!!!

puff pastry
30 shrimps
sesame seeds

Preheat the oven to 180ºC / 350ºF.
Clean the shrimps: devein the shrimp by peeling the shell from it. Use a knife to make a shallow slit along the back from the head end to the tail end. Look for the black sand vein that runs along the center of the back. If the vein is there, use the tip of the knife to carefully remove and discard it. Wash them under cold running water.
Bring a pan with water to boil and boil the shrimps for 5 minutes.
Cut the puff pastry into thin stripes. Wrap the shrimps in a stripe of puff pastry and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Put them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven for 15/20 minutes or until golden.
